Senior Polymer Chemist
Aaron Bruckbauer is a polymer chemist dedicated to advancing the transition from conventional plastics to biodegradable and renewable materials. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego, where his research focused on developing fully renewable and compostable polyurethane foams and coatings. His work has resulted in several U.S. patents and contributed to the commercial development of novel bio-based polymers.
You’ll find Aaron traveling, discovering new food spots, catching waves, or playing beach volleyball.
Aaron envisions Soleic® materials being used in wetsuits as a sustainable replacement for neoprene.
To make sustainable materials the standard, not the exception. To design products with their full lifecycle in mind and to ensure the materials we use today don’t become the environmental problems of tomorrow.
