Strategic Advisor
Lisa Ketelsen is an experienced leader in the polyurethane industry, with two decades at Bayer® and Covestro®, most recently serving as Vice President and Regional Head of TPU, Asia Pacific and Head of Sales and Market Development, TPU Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. In these roles, she led thermoplastic polyurethane sales and market development across Asia Pacific, working closely with producers, converters, and global brands. Prior to that, Lisa served as CEO of Maezio®, Covestro’s global composite venture, based in Shanghai, and was involved in negotiations and new site investment for Covestro in Zhuhai, China. Her experience spans business development, manufacturing, and the commercialization of new materials.
Brazilian-German and working across five languages, Lisa now runs her own advisory practice and has co-founded several consumer businesses, including an electronics company focused on reverse supply chains and a fair and ethical apparel company focused on bio-based materials. She has a background in business administration and holds an MBA from the University of Bradford in the UK. Lisa brings her extensive polyurethane industry experience and global network to Algenesis, supporting the commercialization of fully biodegradable materials and their adoption at scale.
